Easter Weekend: Picture Overload

The original McWilliams (Walker’s parents) made the trek to Lufkin for Easter weekend. This is what we did:

Celebrated Opal’s 12 week birthday with new toys.

Ate shrimp, potatoes and corn outside at Boil ‘n Go.

Went to PetSmart where Walker’s parents spoiled their granddoggy (2 new kennels, shampoo, brush and the list goes on)

Went to Lowes and bought garden supplies.

Attended the children’s Bunny Brunch at church.

Mowed the grass.

Built Opal a new play pen with picket fence included.

Built raised garden beds!

Cooked a roast.

Went to Easter service at church.

Ate the roast.

Here are way too many pictures documenting our weekend.

Her Taj Majal kennel.

Tinkle time.

Finished product! Tomatoes, okra, squash, zucchini, green beans, peas, strawberries, bell peppers, cucumber, basil, mint and rosemary.

New flower bed, too.

Here’s to hoping this undomestic diva can keep these veggies alive! Thank goodness Walker knows what he’s doing. Thanks to his parents for everything! Couldn’t have done any of it without them.

  1. Hey!

Good luck with your garden! Kolby and I just got a raised bed at a community garden down the street from us. We planted canteloupe, strawberries, rosemary, okra, tomatoes, tomatillos, jalapenos, poblanos, and a bunch of other peppers. We’re really going for a salsa garden vibe. We’ve killed every plant we’ve previously attempted to grow, so I don’t have high expectations for the new garden, but here’s to hoping!

Hope y’all are doing well. And hopefully we can see each other soon!

    • Thanks, Emily! I’m kind of nervous about the whole thing. It was kind of expensive, which is worth the cost if we can eat organic veggies, but I’m terrified they will die! Hope to see y’all soon!
